Why we started Fred
Many men use shampoo, wax, gel and styling products for years without really knowing what’s inside them. Sulphates, palm oil, harsh cleansers and heavy ingredients that don’t always make your hair or scalp any happier.
And honestly? We did exactly the same.
Until our hair became finer, flatter and more lifeless. That’s when we realised something: using more products and washing your hair more often isn’t always the solution. Sometimes, it’s actually part of the problem.
That’s why we’re building a complete FRED range for men with fine, flat or thinning hair. That’s how Salty Fred and Dusty Fred were born: simple, effective and made with as few unnecessary ingredients as possible.
We now use refill packs and continue to develop even more natural formulas, including our own shampoo and conditioner.
We’re not perfect. But we’re moving in the right direction.
